Charmont

Artificial cross Chasselas × Chardonnay obtained in 1965 at the Agroscope research center in Pully (Switzerland), Charmont was made with the aim of creating a grape variety that is more aromatic and richer in sugar than Chasselas. An early and productive grape variety, susceptible to gray rot, Charmont produces simple and aromatic wines, especially in French-speaking Switzerland.
