An artificial Gamaret x Bronner cross, Divico was obtained in 1996 at the Agroscope research center in Pully (Switzerland) in order to create a multi-resistant grape variety to fight more ecologically against downy mildew, powdery mildew and gray rot. Named in honor of a historic Swiss chef, the Divico drastically reduces the use of phytosanitary products. Late maturing like Gamaret, Divico produces wines very rich in color and tannins, and it can be used as a single varietal or as a blend. Available from vineyard nurseries from 2015.
