Old grape variety originating in the region of Aragón (E) where it is called Garnacha and of which there are several mutations (Garnacha Blanca, Garnacha Roja, Garnacha Peluda), Grenache subsequently spread in France and Sardinia (Cannonau ). Very late, Grenache is suitable for hot and sunny climates, where it gives wines rich in alcohol, with aromas of hot strawberries. Its presence in Switzerland is discreet.

Aroma Potential
The wine obtained is full-bodied, heady, with a beautiful golden red color. It ages quickly, its color oxidizes and tends towards rancio. Aromas of banana - noticed with a wine resulting from carbonic maceration -, burnt, cocoa, coffee, blackcurrant, spices, ripe fig, hay, raspberry, very ripe stone fruits (morello cherry, prune, ...), cooked fruits, fruits dry, smoke, tar, pepper, rancio, black liquorice, burnt sugar, old wood
