A Garnier 15-6 × Perle Noire hybrid, Muscat Bleu was obtained around 1930 in Peissy in the canton of Geneva (Switzerland). This early variety is appreciated by organic winegrowers for its great resistance to disease and for its musky aroma. Amateur variety, cultivated for the table or in the vat, it is only rarely cultivated in Switzerland for winemaking, giving tender and fruity wines.
