Pinot Noir

Reds / Powerful & intense reds

A grape native to Emilia Romagna in northern Italy, Ancellotta was named after the Lancellotti family of Modena who presumably propagated it since the 13th and 14th centuries. In Switzerland, this late grape variety, rich in color and relatively neutral in taste is cultivated mainly in Valais, generally used to enhance the color of local Pinot-based wines. He is one of Galotta's parents.

Aroma Potential

Gives a very structured wine, tannic - soft tannins -, generally of very intense cherry red color, sometimes lacking in acidity, moderately rich in alcohol, rich in diglucoside anthocyanins. Aromas of cherry, strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, ...
